April gives way to the 102nd year of recognizing National Minority Health month and this year's theme is, "Bridging Health Equity Across Communities."
Initially began by Dr. Booker T. Washington as, "National Negro Health Week," in April of 1915, it has grown to encompass all racial and ethnic minorities  in an effort to bring the communities together in, "One great National health movement."
Dr. Booker T. Washington knew that health was the most important key to a happy life and his legacy of wanting that for all people grows to this day.
