CHIP, The Children’s Health Insurance Program, is a health insurance plan that helps working families who do not have health insurance for their children. The program was designed to cover uninsured children in families with incomes that are modest but too high to qualify for Medicaid. Each of the states have different eligibility rules For example the annual income figure varies depending on the size of your family. For a family of two the income limit is $29,140 a year and for a family of six, the income limit is $59,060 a year. CHIP covers many services including:
