Health Insurance Options for College Graduates

Shop on the health insurance marketplace: Some may be able to shop for health insurance during a special enrollment period. If you previously moved, got married, or lost health insurance recently, you will qualify for a special enrollment period.

If you are under 26, you can stay or get added onto your parents’ insurance plan: Your best bet is to stay onto your parents’ plan until you are 26.

Get Medicaid, if you qualify: Check to see if you qualify for Medicaid. If you work part time or aren’t making that much money, you may qualify for Medicaid. You can sign up for Medicaid at any point in the year.
