Chronic stress can be unhealthy for you mind and body.  Some side effects of chronic stress include hair loss, headaches, and anxiety.  Dealing with stress can be hard for some especially if things like arguments or traffic jams get to you.  Shrugging off a bad day can be easier than you think.  Try these five remedies to reduce your daily stress:

Chew gum:
Chewing gum has been shown to increase blood flow to the brain and reduce stress. Grab your favorite gum and get chewing.

Drink tea:
There are a ton of varieties of tea that are strictly made to reduce stress.  Teas like chamomile and herbal teas are caffeine free and are proven to have calming side effects.  

Get outside:
Fresh air is proven to have calming effects on a human.  If you are feeling stressed, get outside and take a walk-in nature.

Light some candles or essential oils:
Fragrance can have a strong effect on your mood.  Light some peppermint, jasmine, chamomile, citrus, or lavender and bask in the calming effects of these scents.

Take a deep breath:
Practice breathing techniques to get your stress under control. Being aware of your breathing can help you take control of your stress.  Put on soothing music and take some time to breath.
