Summer is ending, which marks the beginning of a new time of the year, back to school! So you may have already started buying new school clothes for your children, checking off school supplies from their lists, or ordering textbooks.
But have you kept their health in mind? Before you send off your kids to their first day of school, remember to make sure they are in tiptop shape so that they can be healthy and learn all school year. Here is a list of health needs you should check
off your lists!

1. Make sure they are up to date on Immunizations

If your child has had a physical in the past year, they should be caught up on immunizations. But it's always better to be safe than sorry. Call up your medical professional and double check with them to see if your child is up to date.
You can search through Cosmo Insurance Agency's doctor search to find a physician that is right for your child.

2. Reboot their sleep schedule
Before school starts, make sure to adjust your little one's sleep schedule so they can perform their best in school. For good back-to-school health, about two weeks before classes begin, start setting their bedtime about 15 minutes earlier each night.
Do this until you reach the sleep and wakeup times that will work for the school year.
3. Go over hand-washing techniques
Since you won't be supervising your children's hygiene habits when they're away from you, make sure they're clear on how—and when—to wash their hands for back-to-school health.
Children who wash their hands frequently are 38 percent less likely to have to stay home from school with an upper respiratory infection

Also, don't forget to make sure you have a the right amount of health coverage. Cosmo Insurance Agency will be there to answer the phone if you aren't covered or have questions about health insurance. Our knowledgeable and experienced team
